Main Functions

The Ministry of Construction is the entity in charge of ruling, executing and controlling the State and Government policy on:

  • Geological-Engineering research works applied to construction.

  • The designs for building and assembling activities.

  • Civil construction and Industrial assembly.

  • Maintenance and Rehabilitation of housing and city planning.

  • The Maintenance of constructions.

  • The exploitation of civil, Industrial and road constructions, and docking and dredging up works of State interest.

  • The industrial production of hydraulic and asphalt concrete, and concrete elements.

  • The implementation of measures for controlling the application of the General Housing Law, and the housing fund, dictating and promoting the necessary regulations.

  • The Production and commercialization of products and construction materials, except Cement.
