Specific Duties Of The Divisions In The Central Apparatus

Division for Legal and Labour Issues

The specific duties of the Division for Legal and Labour Issues are as follows:

  1. Proposing and ruling the application of the policy related to the organization of work and salaries, job, social security and work protection and hygiene (PHT).

  2. Doing research on the application of the most modern techniques internationally used regarding work and salary organization (OTS) related to Transportation.

  3. Taking part in the studies relative to the assessment of risky conditions, analysis of professional sickness and the aspects allowing to improve man`s attention.

  4. Ruling, advising and checking the activities of the Offices for Assistance to vacant personnel.

  5. Taking part in the tasks related to the International Labour Organization (ILO) on matters concerning this Division.

  6. Proposing and ruling the application of the policity related to work with cadres within the System of the Ministry of Transportation.

  7. Proposing and ruling the application of the policy related to Training, applicable to cadres, other leaders, officials and other workers within the System of the Ministry of Transportation.

  8. Having the legal representation of the Ministry before any national, foreign or international organization, body or entity.

  9. Having the legal provisions in force , within the System of the Body, fulfilled.

  10. Considering the legality of the documents, claims, complaints or resource submitted to the Body.

  11. Registering, keeping and, as the case may be, attending to the legal documents worked out in the Body, as well as issueing the certifications required thereof.

  12. Gathering, systematizing and keeping the legal provisions, either national or from international Bodies, related to the activities ruled by the Ministry of Transportation, up-to-date.

  13. Assisting the Central Registry of Vessels and its corresponding sections.

  14. Taking on the Secretariat of the Central Commission for the Ministry of Transportation as to granting and loss of Scientific Degrees.
